TOWN HALL FORUM
May 18, 2008 12:15 p.m.

We will be discussing the growth of the ministries here at St. Luke and how this growth relates to our facility needs. Information will be presented by representative of the St. Luke Church Council. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Please come, listen and share your thoughts.

ST. LUKE GOLF SCRAMBLE

Join us for our 10th Annual St. Luke's Golf Scramble, Sunday, June 22nd, at River Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove. The event is a fundraiser for the Technical Worship Teams and promises lots of fun and fellowship. Dave & Nancy Pawlik will again host the potluck dinner. Put this date on your calendar, start pulling your team together, and look for the signup in the church narthex. We will put you on a team if you'd prefer. We will again be offering sponsorships for anyone interested in networking their business at this successful event – sponsorships range between $50 and $350 and proceeds support St. Luke Technical Worship Teams. Contact Joe Day (459-1436), Lori Hintz (457-9149), or Chris Colley (769-8504) with questions, ideas, and sponsorships.

BLT TEAM FORMED!

St. Luke has put together a BLT - no, not the sandwich, but a "Building & Land Team." This team is prayerfully charged by the St. Luke Council to do research and discern what land and new facility opportunities in our local area might meet our current and future ministry and mission needs. Please pray for this team, and watch for more information!

PRAYER MINISTRY AT ST. LUKE

We invite your prayer requests. St. Luke has a dedicated prayer team, who offer their prayers to help anyone in need of prayer. Prayers can be requested by:

- filling out a green card (in your bulletin or available at the Information Desk) when you come to worship.

- call or email Connie Shirkey
651-459-1222, Ext. 21
cshirkey@stlukescg.org

- request at Saturday night service - on the third Saturday of every month, your prayer requests will be read aloud during worship; on the fourth Saturday of every month, personal prayer time with a minister is available during a special time in worship.

Prayers can be handled however you feel appropriate - just let us know:

- as a name mentioned during worship.

- in our monthly newsletter, the "Good News".

- sent only to our Prayer Team.

Also:

Prayer Shawls. Shawls are created by caring individuals who pray for the recipient throughout their work. This is another type of prayer which can be requested.

Please contact Connie Shirkey if you can share your gift of prayer on our Prayer Team or Prayer Shawl team.
