Seeds of Faith Preschool is a ministry of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Cottage Grove. We feel that each child is a unique gift from God, and we demonstrate God's love by our words and deeds. We strive to strengthen each child's intellectual, physical, spiritual, emotional and social development by providing a program that will encourage and challenge them to the fullest potential.
The preschool is located at 7000 Hinton Avenue South in Cottage Grove. We are in the East end of St. Luke Lutheran Church.
We are a bible based curriculum where we intergrate the bible story of the week into the whole preschool experience. Our three year program involves a solid base for starting of their acadamic growth and socializtion skills, preparing them for the kindergarten like culture of the Pre-K classrooms. We have designed our Pre-K curriculum to include the skills Kindergarten teachers would like the children to have when they enter their classrooms. Our Pre-K classes include the basic of the acadamic skills, with the addition of phonics and beginning reading skills.We have designed our Pre-k classes to include the skills Kindergarten teachers would like the children to have when they enter their classrooms. Multi - Culutral units are included where the children travel to a different country each month and explore the music, food, celebrations and the language. In this unit we try very hard to include the cultural background of children enrolled and encourage their families to come in and share with the children.
Music is a big part of our curriculum also. Children learn to use rhythm instruments (sticks, bells, cymbals etc.), singing, a little drama and dancing.
